This place is the absolute bomb as someone who grew up eating authentic Chinese food. Highly recommend the salt and pepper fried pork chops and the wontons in broth. This place also has great lunch specials. Ambiance is bright and the dining area is large and spacious. Service is also above average for Chinese restaurants.

I made a quick stop here since it was conveniently located right next to the subway station. I came here for a quick take-out, so can't say for the dine-in experience. I ordered one pound of Roast Pork ($16/lb). Once I paid and got a receipt, my order was ready within minutes. It was nicely packaged and still delicious when I got home. I enjoyed the crispy crackling skin while the meat was fatty and juicy. Solid spot for Chinese meats where they also offer dim sum and rice bowls too. Note: Cards have a $30 minimum.

Where else in the city can you get cheap food, hangout with a large group of friends, and BYOB??? Nowhere except Wu's. Literally always have a blast at Wu's and their BYOB policy definitely helps. Their food portions are enormous and cheap AND delicious. This is my favorite place to go especially when friends visit and we want to catch up but still have a good time.

Good and prompt service always, food comes out super fast each time. To be honest their "big" seafood dishes are much better than their everyday dishes. We still go back for the everyday dishes because they have a good variety.

This is a staple must visit for sure if you're in nyc. Everything we had was delicious and should be paired with their chili oil (so good). This place is BYOB which is also why i rate this so high because we love a place that lets you bring your own drinks!! It's your typical Chinese American restaurant with some dishes being more Chinese American and other dishes being authentically Chinese. I like that there's a balance of both. The dish that stood out to us was the jellyfish. It was amazing and went so well with the chili oil. Peking duck was also really good and i will definitely be getting those dishes again next time. Service was so attentive and great. We dropped our chopsticks and they immediately came to us with what we needed. Somehow they stay busy but keep all guests satisfied with service. Ambiance is great. Feels like a good vibe and perfect for big groups.

Made reservations for 12 cause I wanted to treat my mom FINALLY to the giant king crab cooked 3 ways ( $700 -no joke) but worth all the photo ops and was delicious! Each dish was perfectly cooked, not oily, and the fried rice was the best I've ever had!! BYOB so we paired crab with some bubbly Servers so quick and friendly-super nice to my elderly mom! Only downside is bathroom downstairs and tiny but as long as your legs work it's ok

This is a Cantonese restaurant with a variety of favorited dishes. There's an "aquarium" at the front that you can see while walking by with the fish, eels, and crabs (the windows were quite dirty, which I hope was just the outside and not the tank itself). It's located at the East Broadway F station, across from Seward Park at the corner of where Essex turns to Rutgers and East Broadway. I went on a Friday night and they were very busy and packed. All the tables inside from what I recall seats around 10 people. It seemed like everyone who was there were in large groups so reservations are definitely recommended. If you came in smaller groups, you'd probably be sharing a table with others. Food: My group ordered a bit of everything from roasted duck, peking duck buns, wonton soup, clams, beef stir fried noodles, beef with bamboo shoots, fried pork, and Chinese leafy greens. The food came out super quickly after ordering, which is great. The tables around us ordered the huge crab and pig. Upon finishing, they gave us mango pudding. The wontons were delicious but I wish they had a bit more skin. Service: Like most Chinese restaurants don't expect full service here. Everything is curt and transactions based. The waiters won't come to check in on you so feel free to flag them down if you need anything. Some members of our group was 20+ minutes late and we were getting hounded since we haven't ordered anything yet. The waitress came and checked in us at least 3 times and the 4th said that she'll just stand here and wait for our order. I honestly don't blame her.

Mr. Wu's Wonton King is as authentic as it gets! One comes here for the food and not the ambience. In addition to the large open restaurant there is an enclosed heated outdoor spot. This place is ideal for big groups with its massive tables and large portions. It's byob (wine/hard liquor) besides beer which worked out great for us since my friend makes her own wine. Bonus no corking fee! Waiters are busy and clearly not there to chat but get you what you need. The food is delicious and extremely affordable. The menu is a little overwhelming with all of its choices. We ordered the Sauteed Razor Clams, Garlic Aromatic Chicken, Pan Fried Noodle with Beef and Sauteed Snow Peas. They also include complimentary tea and mango pudding. It might seem far being deep down in Chinatown but the F train is literally right outside the door. It's worth checking out. Reservations are recommended.

A group of ten of us went for a holiday celebration and a retirement for a family friend. Although we had reservations, we did have to wait a considerable time before being seated. They were terribly busy and I get that but waiting that length of time was a tad bit extreme in my opinion. This was a new type of dining experience for me and the hosts went out of their way to make it an extra special event for me. And it was. They had preordered the Suckling pig two days before as required and while the flavors were delicious, it was served quite cold with some fat already congealing which wasn't what I expected. Just a totally different dish than my Southern whole hog barbecue days for every family reunion. Just different. Loved the byob, who wouldn't love that with NYC prices? The fried shrimp were great as were the duck bao buns which I had never had and really enjoyed. There was a noodle dish that was also tasty and it had shrimp in it which I loved. The only difficult thing for me is that the dishes looked delectable , but the host ordered all the dishes so I didn't really know what I was eating. So sorry I can't name the half the things I tried. Lol. What was most important was that it was a lovely time with lovely people. I'm happy to do that every day of the week.

The service was great and would say 4-5 stars if you can get their attention. It's super busy on the weekends so, it's understandable and would say 4-5. They are very quick to seat, clean and bring orders. Unfortunately, our food was cold. All dishes. I'm sure they have a lot to deal with, but you don't want to eat these kinds of foods cold. Roast Suckling Pig, Peking Duck nor the Shrimp Rice Roll. It is the first time I've ever gotten Roast Suckling Pig at a Chinese restaurant. And as excited as I was to have crispy skin like Peking Duck it's just not the same as I've had it in many Latin American cuisine's. It was good. Just not great. It wasn't nearly as tender as I was anticipating. The last time I had it was in Mexico the traditional way, when they cut it with a porcelain plate to prove its tenderness and break the plate on the floor with the restaurant clapping. And definitely more affordable. The Peking Duck was awesome how they have it set up for you on bao buns. However, the skin wasn't really crispy. That is the point of the dish. I'm not a huge fan of the legs in general. So that's just me. But it being cold and not crispy is why I bring it down to a 3.5-4 stars. This is a fantastic restaurant if you have a large group. I've seen some families with a table of 14 order huge orders that are shareable around the table. They even bring out a massive crab that takes up the size of the whole table before they cook it that's enough to feed a village. Too much for a small table. One of these days I have to find a place like that. Overall, a good experience. They have tons of good options and would've given 3.5 stars but I understand how busy it is on the weekend let alone a holiday weekend so I round it up to 4 for the benefit of the doubt on a slow day.
